A little bit about me...
I have over 25 years’ experience in strategic marketing and business development. My career began in corporate finance with global investment banks, before moving into BD-led marketing at board level in major law firms across EMEA and the UK. I also bring governance experience through Trustee and voluntary executive roles.
My marketing credentials:
✅ Chartered Marketer (CIM)
✅ Fellow of CIM
✅ SOSTAC® Certified Planner
✅ MSc Information Management
Where I add most value as a marketing leader...
- Strategic Growth - I'm an expert at developing growth-focused marketing strategies and plans that deliver results for the short- medium- and long-term.
- Transformation - I'm a marketing transformation agent - translating vision into solution, whilst minimising impact to business-as-usual.
- MarTech - I deliver smarter marketing systems and process reengineering - turning data lakes into actionable intelligence, leveraging tech and AI.
- Sales & Marketiing Alignment - I champion sales and marketing synthesis - changing competing teams into integrated dynamic new business engine.
- Professional Standards - As a Chartered Marketer, I uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and continuous development, delivering ethical practice and measurable commercial impact.
The most common misconception I hear about marketing is...
"...Business owners becoming frustrated by mediocre results from products or services sold by persuasive salespeople. Admitting a mistake is tough, but staying with a flawed solution is costly. An experienced CMO can diagnose the problem, advise on options, and guide you in assessing, selecting and implementing the right choice."
Some of my best marketing was delivered at...
- Deutsche Bank- My marketing leadership contributed to €366m growth in annual origination & advisory revenues by introducing innovative fee pool-based market analysis, identifying high value regions and sectors across EMEA, enabling investment into new offices and coverage teams.
- Cripps - I grew profitable UK new business by realigning traditional marketing function to sector/segment focused BD and elevating BD expertise. This resulted in the pitch win rate hitting 50% and doubling the number of high value clients.
Some fun facts about me...
- I learned to fly before I learned to drive.
- I am a bit of a bookworm - from a fondness for sci-fi at an early age, I nearly became a librarian. At home I have a library with over 3,000 books in it (largely nonfiction as it gets harder to research anything on the internet!)
- I have a longstanding love of movies - and had our own home cinema (surround sound, the lot) before big screens were cheap or fashionable) - and have a large selection of vintage film posters too.
- Both my grandfathers helped organise the 1938 Empire Exhibition in Glasgow - I inherited one piece from my maternal grandfather which acted as a catalyst. I now have over 400 items from badges to tablecloths and posters - most are displayed in a 1930s cabinet in my bedroom.
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
- By following these tips, you can make sure you’re noticed on LinkedIn and start building the professional connections you need to further your career.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
