VCMO is a UK-based advisory firm providing embedded fractional marketing leadership to SMEs and investors. Founded by Paul Mills, the business was launched in just 12 weeks with a vision to redefine how companies access senior marketing leadership and expertise.
The Challenge
Launching a new business in record time meant building a credible brand, website, content ecosystem, and market presence from scratch — all while positioning VCMO clearly as an advisory partner (not an agency or consultancy). The goal was to create immediate authority, establish SEO equity, and lay the foundation for scalable growth.
The Solution
Paul designed and executed an intensive launch programme that combined strategy, content, and brand execution:
- Built and launched a 100+ page corporate website optimised for Google.
- Produced 150k+ words of content aligned to target audience “hopes and fears.”
- Designed a distinctive brand identity with agency support around the theme 'marketing transformation'.
- Created a proprietary framework (BANKSE) used for an online marketing capability audit.
- Published 6 strategic marketing playbooks and launch video assets.
- Integrated a scalable martech stack to support remote service delivery and growth.
Brand Design – Marketing Transformed
With the purpose, vision, mission and value proposition already defined, Paul built the brand architecture and developed a detailed creative brief for London-based agency Design By Structure. Their task was to bring VCMO’s story to life through a suite of brand assets and a new corporate website.
A critical requirement was to position VCMO not as a traditional agency or consultancy, but as an advisory partner for clients at critical inflection points. The creative brief emphasised two priorities: showcasing the analytical rigour behind VCMO’s approach and reflecting the agility required to deliver transformative results.


The Outcome
Within 12 weeks, VCMO launched as a fully operational business with:
- Google #1 ranking for “VCMO” from day one
- 100+ optimised content pages driving early visibility
- A comprehensive IP library including frameworks, playbooks, and audits
- An embedded digital and brand infrastructure ready for rapid scaling
Within 18 months of launch, VCMO achieved:
